'Hello,
We are writing to you today because you have ordered a latest-generation Canyon Aeroad and we have already emailed you a delivery date. Unfortunately, we have to inform you we are unable to fulfil the stated delivery date. We would like to explain why in this mail:
Among other features, the latest Aeroad has a seatpost that allows for a higher level of flexing thanks to its newly developed clamp design. This increases comfort even on fast, demanding rides. However, excessive dirt can lead to increased wear between the seatpost and the seat tube.
You should always be able to rely on the top quality of all components on your Canyon bike. We are currently working on improving the seatpost. Our engineers have developed multiple approaches. We are already in the test phase and are working flat out to test the best solution.
How will we procede?
We will equip your Aeroad with the new component that we develop, before it goes on its way to you. We are expecting the "green light" from the test phase shortly. We´ll get back to you on 17 March at the latest to give you an update on the next steps and your delivery date. You do not need to do anything.
As a customer, you are our top priority. Always. You deserve nothing but the best bikes. No compromises. Your Aeroad will be top-notch when it is delivered - just as you should expect from us. And once again, we want to sincerely apologise for the delay in delivery.

Vooral het "you don't need to do anything". Het zou nog maar dat te kort zijn...
IK ben zelf verantwoordelijk voor communicatie in het bedrijf waar ik werk.
Communiceren nadat er eerst wekenlang alle mogelijke geruchten de ronde doen, is véél, véél te laat.

De oorzaak vd stuurbreuk schijnt een te strak aangedraaide shifter te zijn. Fout vd mechanicien dus.
