Parlee

It is with enormous pleasure that I am able to announce the imminent arrival of Parlee's newest frame, the sub 800gms Z5
Making use of the advances in molding technology available since the Z4 was launched to such critical acclaim, the Z5 promises to be a quite exceptional frame, and can be viewed as a 'Parlee greatest hits'
-Beautiful twin stays of the Z1
-Lightest Parlee ever
-First Parlee to have a BB30 as standard
-5 sizes and 2 head tube heights per size (like the TT)
The basic geometry of the Z5 will be similar to that of a Z4, however building on from the success of the TT bike, the Z5 will come in 5 sizes but also in 2 head tube heights. The smaller of the two HT heights is the same as the Z4 - and the larger is 25mm higher. If you ride with a large drop (say 12cms+) then the smaller HT will allow you to get the bars nice and low. However if you like a smaller drop, the higher HT will allow us to get the bars in a comfortable and efficient position without too many spacers or stem compromises
Now bikes with higher HTs are not new (all the big players have "sportive" models) but these are normally cheaper/less racey models. With the Z5 there will be no such requirement for performance compromises.
For a number of reasons (long legs/short torso, flexibility issues, previous injuries) I often do fits on people whom (for instance) would like the top tube length of the Large frame but the headtube of the XL. Unfortunately this brings certain compromises; if you get the Large you will need alot of spacers, whereas if you get the XL chances are the TT is too long and we will need to reduce stem length
With the Z5 we can spec the Large with the higher HT size and you have the best of both worlds: limited spacers improve front end stiffness and improve aesthetics, whilst the longer stem improves handling.
As such the Z5 will be a bike fitters dream!
The Z5 will come as a frame, fork,HS and FM clamp and UK SRP will be c£2750
