Also, it might just be the nipple toggling in its hole of the rim..
You could check that, and with the ring of the nippel, or piece of tape, to stop the toggling.
That large amplified sound of high rims is - in my experience - mainly when the rims are from carbon (or carbon with aluminium combined).., The quattro's are all the way aluminium, just like my SPEED wheels, and I don't have the large noice (mainly in corners) like the guys with the high carbon rims.
